Western Excelsior manufactures a series of temporary Erosion Control Blankets (ECBs) to meet a variety of longevity and performance requirements. Certified weed-free straw and Rocky Mountain Excelsior are utilized as matrix materials, mechanically bound to a single net or between two nets. Synthetic photodegradable, synthetic rapid degradable and biodegradable netting is available for all of Western Excelsior ECBs. Utilizing a variety of netting and matrix components allows for intended longevities ranging from ninety days to eighteen months. Actual product longevity is dependent on soil and climatic conditions.
